Burt believed/knew that if we worked on our internal beauty then we can help others, as well as our world, to become more beautiful. 

Burt embodied unconditional love, which is true beauty. Burt also embodied honesty, compassion and integrity. 

He chose to see the divine in every single person he met. 

Burtiful!  

Burtiful buttons are meant to be shared as our desire is to spread Burt's legacy with others . Give a button to someone you know or, better yet, to people you don't know and help us to share his message all over our planet.

After receiving remission from late-stage, aggressive cancer in May 2019, Burt's health again declined in Vilcabamba, Ecuador in January 2020, where Burt and his partner, Cara, had spent 4-months living while worldschooling their young son.  

In a group text thread, at that time, between Burt, Cara and one of Burt's best friends, Stu, Stu responded by exclaiming, "Burtiful!" 

Cara clapped her hands together and said, "Yes! That's it!" 

As Burt's recurrence of liver cancer was about to claim his life, he died knowing that we were going to do exactly this - make "Burtiful" buttons to maintain the beauty that was (& forever is) Burt Lo on our planet.

While Cara and Cahlo made their way back to the United States - this time without Papa Burt - two of our dearest friends, Jenn & Paul, made this website. As well, a loyal, loving crew (Devi Kirn, Fiona, Meshell, Adam, Zap, Sonia, Jamie & so many more) worked together to organize and produce a full weekend of events memorializing Burt the weekend before our region slid into shelter in place orders due to a global pandemic.

Another dear friend, Christy, persisted in coming up with the Burtiful buttons logo just in time for Burt's official memorial at EVE.

We were grateful to have Raef on hand that day to serve as our videographer.
